The Woman in White is considered by many to be Wilkie Collins' best book. Collins seemed to agree since it is the only one mentioned in his epitaph. I enjoyed The Moonstone just a much as this book, so I am eager to read some of his lesser known novels.

This book was one of the first mystery novels and many books written afterwards have copied Collins' formulae. There is a mysterious woman who always wears white, a despicable husband, a loyal lover and strange happenings. The main narrator, Walte ...more

What a great thriller full of secrets and conspiracies! This is one of my all time favorite classic novels and will keep you guessing until the very end!
