What Members Thought

Absolutely amazing.....I loved it! Wilkie Collins was vastly underrated. In my opinion, it's a must read for anyone who loves classics and has not yet read it.

I read this book some more than 10 years ago, and I remember that I loved it at the time. The multiple-narrators technique and the plot are both very intriguing. Collins is also quite a witty writer.
Looking over the text generally now, I feel like I might have missed something deeper that Collins would have been trying to say. I would give this book another try sometimes. A wonderful book full of intriguing characters. This book has everything you need to keep you entertained; romance, intrigue, mystery and spooky mansions.
Count Fosco is larger than life and Walter Hartright is a determined hero.
The book switches narrations through different characters but it does not distract from the storyline.
I have to say that Wilkie Collins is one of my favourite Classic authors.
