What Members Thought

Started reading after watching Series 1 of the Expanse... really enjoyed the pacing and characters were great... Holden so infuriating, but obviously he was meant to be! Enough left open at the end to keep things interesting, yet without an annoying cliffhanger / second book pitch.
Loved the world building detail - and also loved that it never really overshadowed the story. Excellent example of how unintended consequences can drive a book, and it was really enjoyable to watch as it all unfolded.

Would have given this 3.5 stars if I could give half stars - the book was good, but it definitely dragged at times. The characters were entertaining and the plot was intriguing enough to keep me reading, but the self loathing of the Miller character and self righteous ranting of the Holden character got to be a bit much after 500+ pages. I was ready for the end of the book when it came.
