This book suffers from what I call the "Margaritaville" effect. See, I have this friend who insists that Jimmy Buffet actually wrote and recorded a few really good songs before he became the father of Parrotheadism. Hoswever, it is my position that "Margaritaville" and "Cheeseburger in Paradise" create a sort of negative songwriting credibility, that the rest of his works are lessened by association. Wow, this dude was angsty. And horny, often not in a good way. I remember reading this as a kid and I think I missed all the sex.
