Great book. This is the first Abercrombie book I've read. He creates very interesting characters. Good story arc, interesting world he's built. Leaves you on a cliff hanger so you have to go right into book #2. I kinda expected that when I got into it. ...more

Interesting and well written. Falls vaguely in the alternate fantasy Euro history area. Character driven and 'dark' in that all the characters are flawed. Its not really my cup of tea but I can see where others would like it.
