I adored this book, even if I wasn't quite clear on the logistics of the plot. I loved the characters, the writing, the details, the scenery . . . I mean, basically everything. I loved it. It's awesome. You should read it.

Listened to as an audio book. The characters were cute and I enjoyed the reading.
4.5 stars rounded up.
Four stars for the prose, which is amazing. I'm a bit less sold on the story, but I'd likely have to read the book again just to pin down those feelings. This book, mostly an epistolary novel, is very dense and there is virtually no introductory infodumping; you have to figure it all out and put it together as you go. I wasn't all that clear on just what the war is about in the first place, but I'm not sure that's entirely the point here.
