What Members Thought
I couldn't put this book down. It was well written - even elegant in a way, as well as though provoking. I love post apocalyptic books as they are great canvas's for humanity, and what matters. In Station Eleven an Ebola-esque virus (the Georgia Flu) knocks out over 99% of the worlds population. This story is told half right before the collapse, and half afterwards, and has several threads that tie together nicely.

I received a review copy of this audiobook from the publisher.
I had this book on my radar for a while after seeing it in Publishers Weekly, because I am a sucker for post-apocalyptic novels. It ended up on the National Book Award longlist, surprising I thought, considering I'd never heard of the author! That moved it up in my listening queue.

Mais um livro com uma escrita cativante e com uma narrativa lenta que dá a conhecer as diversas personagens e como se ligam.
Foi interessante acompanhar os saltos no tempo, não tanto para perceber as tais ligações entre os personagens mas para ver o contraste e ter uma verdadeira noção das suas perdas: o conforto, as suas ambições, as suas pessoas (fossem amigos ou família).
