Presumed dead, astronaut Mark Whatley is stranded on Mars and has to figure out how to survive on his own. Apollo 11 meets Castaway. Macguyver in space. Call it whatever you want, but it’s the best book that I’ve read so far this year. Can’t wait for the movie.
I don't know if i can say enough good things about this book. Having now finished it, the movie will be really fun to watch unfold. This was a really fun read, and that's what you want in a great book. Amazing amounts of science, but unlike a book i just recently ordealed thru (Seveneves by Neal Stephenson) which was drowning in too much droll detail, this book balanced the science with a lot of fun.
