I had NO idea what this book was about going in but WOW did it make an impression. It's certainly not a light or easy read but its well worth taking the time and effort to read it! This book is such a fascinating look at race, immigration and class! I really liked this book, it drew me in immediately and kept my attention. Adichie creates such real characters that it is easy to feel drawn to their lives and experiences. The book made me want to get up early and go to bed late just to read another chapter.
I found myself thinking about the main character’s experiences as an immigrant in America and how different in many ways but similar in some ways it has been for me moving here.
