What Members Thought
To see the journal that Alanna has gone through from book one, all the way up to this final book, is always an adventure. The strength she finds in herself is wonderful. This final book isn't kind but it builds up so many of the characters I have come to love.

What a wonderful conclusion to this quartet! I am so glad that I have read this series! I am excited to see what else the land of Tortall has in store for me!
Overall review for the series: it's decent, but definitely reads like the first novels of the author's that it is. The pacing is off, the climaxes are resolved a little too quickly and abruptly, but there's potential there and a good world and characters that have been built. Hoping the future series are better.

I'm dropping my rating from 5 to 4 stars. I just felt that the ending was a rushed and more time could have been spent on it. I also would've liked to have seen more of George, particularly with him interacting with Alanna. I also wasn't the biggest fan of Liam.
