What Members Thought
I picked up this book because I kept hearing that it was "so funny". I was looking for a light read and this seemed like a perfect fit.
First- I dont understand why people thought it was funny. I didnt chuckle once. Second- the first "section" was so boring, I almost gave up on it (but it was the only book I had with me at the time so I just kept reading). Third- I absolutely despise it when pre-teens/ teens in books are little brats and get away with it.

This book has some unexpected twists and turns and although I didn't agree with everything and there are many faults in Bernadette, I think that she is a good mom and that she just got caught up in letting someone else take care of everything for her. She became afraid of being around people. I think that this makes her relatable. We have fears and if we aren't careful, our lives start to run us instead of us running our lives.
