What Members Thought
Probably a 3.5. Knew nothing about Neruda and only the name Allende in relation to Chile. Informative and pen portraits of the people he knew. Completely changed my opinion of Lorca and interesting insights into Castro and Che Guevara. Found it quite hard going - but that was due to my lack of knowledge rather than his style which was lyrical in his descriptions of physical areas and flowed between events. Will have to read some of his poetry now.
