Well, what to say about this book.
First of all, it IS different than the musical and new movie—in some places significantly and in other places fairly similar.
At first, I found it difficult to get into this book. Hugo has this obsession with little rabbit trails, where he goes off describing wars, or meanings of names, or characters.
