I'm not a huge fan of historical romances, but I love Quick's. The heroines are always Originals who actually think for themselves.
In this story Vicky is an heiress who is haunted by her step-father's death and never plans to marry. Lucas just recently inherited a title and lands, but needs money to save them and all the people they support. He finds the key to romancing Vicky is to offer late night adventures.
