“I was dead until you found me, though I breathed. I was sightless, though I could see. And then you came...and I was awakened.”

I loved Zsadist and Bella, both individually and together, and would have given this a higher rating had they had more time together. To be clear, I completely understand Zsadist's resistance and this is one instance where it's legit and not just made up for the book plot's sake. What he endured was horrific and the psychological and emotional torture and rep

This is one of my absolute favorite vampire series and I read each installment the day it is published. J.R. Ward will always be on my keeper shelf.

Zsadist is the hero of Lover Awakened. Zsadist was tortured for years and years but a previous mistress as a blood slave. Anger is his only companion and terror his only passion - until he rescues a beautiful female (Bella) from the evil Lessening Society. I have had a crush on Zadist since the first book! He was just so very!

This was another great story in the series. The brothers had so much going on. it was easy to follow an nicely paced.

Bella is a perfect mate for Z! It was wonderful seeing the get together. And there was of course plenty of steamy action! oh la to be a female vamp in need!!

This maybe my favorite book so far even with the heartbreak.

This book was good but I definitely liked Rhage better then Zsadist. I'm just not usually fond of excess emotional baggage that causes the hero to be a royal jackass for all but the last few pages.
I also have several issues with the writing in this series like the laughable tough guy talk of the brothers which I find a little too valley girl at times and the author calling boots 'shitkickers' all the time...I get it! The boys are 'badass'! Stop cramming it down my throat!!! So, although I still
