Katy Swartz was not happy about moving from sunny Florida to West Virginia her senior year, but her mother made the decision for her. It had been three years since Katy lost her father but in some ways she lost her mother as well. Katy had spent much of her time delving into her blog and her love of books, but when she meets her neighbors Katy finds herself torn between the Dee a girl who could easily be her best friend and Daemon the twin and if Katy could guess was hiding devil horns somewhere

I stared at the pile of boxes in my new bedroom.
Katy and her mom have moved to small town Ketterman, West Virginia from Florida after the death of her dad. Her mom encourages her to introduce herself to the neighbors for companionship. Daemon Black is an egotistical jerk that looks like an angel. His twin Dee is a lovely, happy sprite. Daemon does everything possible to keep Dee and Katy from becoming friends because of their deep dark secret.

Loved it! I will definitely be reading the rest of these! For a YA, I found these to be very well written, with just the right amount of romance-y fun stuff...for those of you who enjoy your romances a bit on the hot side like I do, you will know what I mean. ;) Of course, it is a teen book, so it is still pretty clean considering...I just thought that it was written in such a way that content didn't matter as much. This one pretty much lived its hype and I’m very pleased that I had those expectations about it, because I’m not the least disappointed!

As my first JLA book, I have to admit I was somewhat skeptical. Armentrout churns out books faster than I can imagine and the only other author I can think of that does that is Danielle Steel (FYI, not good in my opinion). Listened to the audio straight through...9+ hours. It has angsty teen drama, but I thought the characters navigated it well.
