I'm surprised how much I liked it! Romantic suspense is not my favorite genre, but somehow Maya Banks makes it work! I just adore the Kelly family and I'm looking forward to continue with this story. I was so excited to read Sam's story and now I just want more of Rio! Will he even have a book? Marlene is the best mother ever!

"Sam Kelly, is that my grandchild you're allowing to stand in my kitchen with its mother shivering cold and barefooted?"

Sam is a wonderful, protective hero and he will do e

It's been awhile since I've read a book from Maya Banks but I really enjoyed this one. Sam and Sophie met when Sam was undercovery but their intense affair was cut short and with Sophie carrying his child which she didn't know at the time. Things became complicated. Sophie needed to vanish and was on the run for months before she went to warn Sam and the only man she believed she can trust but things went in a different direction and all hell broke loose. ...more

What a difference a book makes! I was hesitant to read this second book in the KGI series. The first book did not wow me and left me wondering if I wanted to start this series. I am glad that I did continue, because this one was much better.

Sam and his brothers were on a mission in Mexico working undercover to confiscate an arms shipment when Sam met Sophie. Their encounters made them both wanting more. Little did Sam know that Sophia was the daughter of Alex Mouton who is at the top of the mos

Brief Review
What an action packed book! Sophie comes from a cruel world—one in which she is mercilessly used by her father to lure in former operative and head of KGI, Sam Kelly. They have a little fling – no questions asked, no promises made …just a little hook up on the side. Real life soon returns though and Sophie finds herself in a lot of trouble. She’s pregnant and on the run. Sam is her only hope. After Sam’s mission fails, he returns home disgus

Sam Kelly and Sophie Lundgren have a two-night-stand while he's in Mexico. Now, five months later, Sophie is preggers and coming to Sam because her life is at risk. She's killed her arms-dealing father and is on the run from her ruthless uncle. Sam and his brothers are obviously skeptical about Sophie's story, but Sam hasn't been able to forget his time with her. This was a a hot, sexy and suspenseful story with lots of action, twists and turns and some unexpected complications. ...more
