Read for the fourth time now [make that fifth]. One of those classics I love to return to, because it has my favorite romance ingredients: wallflower/ignored girl, man-slut rake rogue, he falls madly for her. ::sigh:: :-)

I really liked Sebastian. He's the ultimate desolute rake - doing anything in a skirt. It's always fun to see them fall usually kicking and screaming and denying all the way. Evangeline is a wallflower but she comes into her own with Sebastian. Great story.

Evangeline Jenner & Sebastian, Lord St. Vincent
I wasn't quite sure how I was going to get past Sebastian's actions in the previous book, but witnessing his behavior with Evie definitely warmed me to him.
Even when he was acting like his arrogant self in the beginning he saw to her comfort, and it just got better from there.
I completely understand why Evie with to Sebastian even after what he did to Lillian. She was living in the house with people who were supposed to love her but were much worse ...more

Evie marries the rake Viscount Sebastian St. Vincent to escape her family and provide him with wealth. The thing I cannot get over is that Evie would betray Lillian (view spoiler)

The third in the Wallflower series...Evie marries a scoundrel to avoid her family's abuse, and turns him into a man worth having around. A quick historical romance.

Great book, great author. I can't say anything bad. The hero comes off as an ass a few times but he is just one of those with the philosophy bite or be bitten. So he tends to jump the gun and do or say hurtful words. Mainly because he is afraid to be hurt first. This is book 3 in the Wallflowers series. I highly recommend you read them in order. Oh, and the heroine in this book has a bad stutter

This series gets better with every book! I loved Sebastian before reading this so I'm glad he was redeemed - but not too much to make it unbelievable or him boring. Also, for the shyest wallflower, Evie has quite the backbone!
