The Wallflower series is the best! Lisa Kleypas have really outdone herself with this one. Great heroines, great heroes and a wonderful friendship between the four "wallflowers".

So this is what goes on with those ladies that don't get the Duke by the end of the season! Four wallflowers (Annabelle Peyton - no dowry; Lillian & Daisy - boorish americans with no entree to British society; Evie - stutters) come up with a pact that will leave them all with husbands. Annabelle as the eldest will be the first to achieve her assisted mating. However, crass Simon Hunt has every intention of making Annabelle his mistress.
