So this got me out of my biggest reading slump yet, so it was pretty good.
The Immortal Rules is set in a dystopian future where vampire have taken over the world and made humans their slaves. I really enjoyed this dystopian take on vampires. It was a fresh look after all those sparkly teenage vampires that have dominated the genre. I really enjoy this book. It was a good start to the series.
A newly vampire with a conscience about the human race is different than those that don't care what happens to the humans around them.
Allie had it hard right from the beginning and then she had to make a choice whether to die or live as a vampire, which of course she hated them but because she didn't want to "die" per say she choice to live as a vampire. She learns some things from Kanin until things change and she was on her own. All ...more
