Callie is 28 years old. She is a spinster. When a family member describes her a being passive, she decides that she is going to make a list of things she wants to do to feel free which ladies cannot do. Callie believes she is fat and unattractive. That is why no man wants her. The first item on her list is to kiss someone - passionately. Voilà bien longtemps que je ne m'étais pas tant régalée à la lecture d'un A&P ! Lue d'une traite en ce dimanche des plus pluvieux, cette très jolie romance m'a vraiment plue !
Les personnages sont particulièrement bien croqués, j'ai beaucoup aimé voir Callie prendre son envol, se "dévergonder" de manière particulièrement audacieuse (pour l'époque !) afin de sortir du carcan de vieille fille dans lequel elle est enfermée. I have not read as many romance novels of late because they are so similar. But I found this one to be fun and engaging. I loved Callie! This is worth a read for anyone who loves romances that break out of the mold a little.
