This series just keeps getting better and better. I loved the mythos in this one and the overall story was oddly disturbing in all the good horror-esque ways. It definitely had me a little nervous to turn off the lights lest something with tentacles was nearby! Really loved this one and I'm happy that we finally got to learn a bit more about Mercy's past.

Adam has been planning his honeymoon with a little help from the fae and of course Mercy blows her top because dealing with the fae is always dangerous. This time we get to meet Old Coyote and some of the other walkers and learn a little more about Mercy's heritage. Add in some mean otters (all the otters I have met have been nice, trust Mercy to meet a mean one at Walmart) and a river demon that eats people and you will understand a bit of what this book is about.
