Not sure why so many fans dislike this one. I mean, I understand that the absence of the secondary characters is sad, because they're so awesome... but this one has a really cool enemy, lots of Native American lore, almost-gods, and a really cool story.

Rated 4.5 stars. A WEDDING!! then of course the problems are never behind. ;)

4 stars. I loved this one and was a vast improvement from book five. We get (view spoiler) which I have to admit, Mercy and Adam were pretty damn cute in this one. I’m still on the fence about Adam but I kinda liked him here. Mercy as always was great and I thought it was so cute and funny how possessive she was over Adam.
I really enjoyed that this one had a lot to do with Mercy’s backstory and family history. I thought that was all really interesting an ...more

I missed my secondary characters, but this one was awesome!!

The sixth book in the Mercy Thompson series, River Marked, had a slightly different feel to it. After a humorous opening involving Mercy's mother, Adam and Mercy finally tie the knot and head out on a luxury camping honeymoon along the Columbia River.
Mercy and Adam are hiking along the river when they discover a seriously injured man in a boat, whose foot is missing. They are pulling his boat to shore, when they are found by his family who are out searching for him. Naturally, not everyone will ...more

I did not find this one enjoyable, in fact it started to become a battle on finishing it. It started to get a bit absurd with the whole river devil thing. I also prefer the entire gang of the pack, fae, and vampires in the book. This one was just pretty exclusive with just Adam and Mercy. By all means don't pass this one by, If you are into the series as much as I am don't skip it.

Mercy and Adam finally get married and go camping for their honeymoon. However, the nearby Columbia River is being occupied by an ancient monster killing innocent people. Mercy's Native American heritage comes into play with the introduction of other walkers and a visit from her father's ghost. This was very interesting for the look into Mercy's heritage and some of the backstory of her parents. Also a great adventure as well.
