I read this series rather slowly and it will never become my favorite series, or even my favorite series by this author. But these are good stories that I enjoy every time I read them.

I love this series, and Mercy and Adam are 2 of my favorite characters, and together they make a perfect couple. That being said I felt like this was sort of a filler book. I don't mind that at all when it comes to long series, sometimes we need to explore some issues more in depth, and that's what sort of happened in this book.
After Adam and Mercy gets married they move on to their honeymoon. Everyone knows that trouble always finds Mercy and this was no different.

Another great installment, though I did miss out on the people back home. Thank goodness for phone calls from Darryl. Mercy and Adam's honeymoon didn't go exactly as expected. As usual, there were behind the scenes shenanigans to get them into place to take care of someone else's problems. And they did, meeting a host of Native people and spirits along the way.

This series certainly hasn't gotten stale and I love that it's not kept alive by a love triangle but by entertaining storytelling.
