Interesting and intriguing approach. I will definitely continue with this series:)

It seems KMM stepped out of her comfort zone. A good job, too. I was hooked from the first paragraph. As a cynic, I expected it to go downhill. It didn't. In fact, Darkfever had some of the most chilling, breathtaking scenes that I have read in ages.
The concept that every character has a dark side is inspired. It creates suspense separate from the natural suspense of the story.

I loved main character MacKayla Lane and in the Brilliance audio version that I listened to, actress Joyce Bean does a phenomenal job as reader. However, go ahead and buy the whole series now, in my opinion this book was too short and ended without enough answers to MacKayla's questions. I wish all three books had been published together.
