I'd rate this 3.5 stars, if I could. The story was very good. Definitely not my usual genre, but interesting and it grabbed at my imagination. I'm not usually into fae or monsters or anything particularly paranormal, but I liked how the author created these beings as part of (or just beside) the human world in Dublin, making them seem almost plausible. Reread this because I wanted to continue the series and couldn't remember what happened. Was surprised by how much better I liked it the second time around!
Mac spends a lot of the book confused, learning about a world she never knew existed where fae are real and they are dangerous. I cringed a few times at the dialogue and inner monologue of this main character, but overall not bad. ...more

You ever start reading a book and then realize you've read it before? Yeah, that's me with this one...now we have to see just how many of them I've read! I remembered the bookstore, but not a lot of the plot. lol

I loved the book as a whole. But, I was expecting more from the ending. It seemed like it was rushed compared to the rest of the book. If it wasn't for that, I would've rated it 5 stars.
