I'm an introvert. I identified with most of the characteristics of the introverts (except the genius part - how I wish). I was more of a loner during my childhood, and while I would love to be left alone now, I can enjoy social situations when I'm dumped unceremoniously into them. I really loved reading this, and I wish it was a book I'd come across earlier in my life when I wasn't at peace with what I was.

I will have to think about this one before giving a star rating.
So I have always know I was an introvert. I am not shy nor anti-social but I have always been perfectly happy alone. My husband is an extrovert. He is outgoing, talkative, and at his best in a group. We balance each other fairly well. Honestly if it wasn't for him I would probably never leave the house. I fell that she did a good job capturing the introvert, extrovert marriage/relationship.

I really enjoyed this book. As an introvert, I found it particularly fascinating and reassuring to hear about the scientific side of what I always considered to just be personality traits. I also appreciated that while the author definitely identified why it can be so challenging to be an introvert in an extroverted society, she didn't make it into a pity party and made it clear that introverts can still thrive if they leverage their understanding of what makes them tick.
