The book started with an interesting premise 'The cemetery of forgotten books'. Any bibliographer will vouch and yearn for something like this...a sprawling library of books and words that are perhaps forgotten. But when, I delved in the book, I thought wow. Think of it. I don't remember what led me to this book but I'm glad I found it. This is more gothic/romantic style literature than mystery but it had bits of both elements and I wasn't really sure where it was going. I love the idea of a 'library of forgotten books' which is where the young boy Daniel first finds a book called "The Shadow of The Wind". He becomes fascinated by its author Julian Carax which leads to all kinds of intrigue and drama.
