I gave it a go, I really really did. The series is so popular and my ex really enjoys the books (ok, they're the only books he ever read, so maybe that should have told me something) so I thought I'd be open-minded and try it. After all, I did like the movie The Rapture and I love religious science fiction.

As I was listening to this book I kept thinking to myself I'm so thankful I'll be one of those taken in the rapture. Looking forward to listening through the whole series...now just waiting on the next book to be available.

I'd maybe go 2.5 stars on this book. I heard so much about it that I finally caved in and read it. It was okay - kind of an interesting topic but lousy writing. I have to confess I went on to read the whole series although I have no good explanation for why. Seems like the longer the series went, the worse the writing got.

Good book. It was a little slow in some parts but overall I enjoyed it.
