A really great well written story. The whole Dystopian theme is really interesting and there are some unexpected twists and turns.
The main character is engaging and relateable. You really feel for her and the whole situation. She has great instincts but rarely heeds them. It is a real flaw she has.
The pacing was great. I never really had a moment where I thought boy this is dull. It always had my attention and made me think.

While reading this, at some point I was reminded of "The Maze Runner" by James Dashner. Probably because of the whole Hunter/Huntress role in things.
The world of Enclave was slightly different from most dystopian books, mainly because Deuce wasn't initially unhappy with how things worked in her world, unlike the main characters in the other books.
Deuce's partnership with Fade, to me, seems to be a little much like love at first sight. I know that it's not, since she hated the guy when they firs ...more

This would have gotten a 5 star if it wasn't for Stalker, he seriously creep me out. And the whole possible love interest...eww. I mean I believe people can change, and I understand that he did a lot of what he did b/c its all he knew and he wanted to survive, but a massive change like that takes time. Other than that I loved it.

I like my dystopias without zombies or other human-eating beings, so there were huge parts of this, especially in the beginning, that were too gory for me. I liked the characters ok, and the premise wasn't bad, but the writing wasn't all that good. I won't be bothering with the rest of the series.

3.5 stars. Interesting tale of flesh eating monsters hunting members of an underground community. Society is segregated into Hunters, Breeders and Builders.
Cliffhanger ending makes you want to read/listen to the next book.

I read this book in one sitting. I just couldn't put it down. Can't wait for the next one. But it would have got 5 stars if not for the last 1/4th of the book. It really through me for a loop and not in a good way.

I don't understand all the glowing reviews of this book. I found myself so bored with the story.
