I will try to keep this review as spoiler-free as possible, but if you're really interested in this series by Gail Carriger and haven't read it yet, you should start with Soulless and not read a review of book #4 ;).
I love the setting of these books, and "Heartless" certainly put Alexia into London society more often than "Changeless" or "Blameless" did. Always a plus, what with Gail Carriger's excellent depiction of the High Society, its rules, and its funny sides.

Dear Ms. Carriger - Please stop writing books I hate to finish because the next one isn't out yet!! You are causing me much distress and vexation!
Heartless is yet another winner in the Parasol Protectorate series. I thoroughly enjoyed this tome from beginning to end. Not a moment felt unnecessary, the story was moved along nicely, the characters were engaging, as always, and the writing style remains my favorite.
