Overall, I found this to be an excellent read. I especially enjoyed Lisbeth Salander for her darkness, depth, and semi-surprising development as a person. Mikeal Blomkvist was another good character--a good thing, as he is the other main character. Everybody was pretty believable.
The first couple of chapters that set up the story were a little slow and overburdened with an info dump. It's forgivable since it sets up the whole story, which is actually quite gripping. I found myself getting sucked ...more

I enjoyed the book and couldn't wait to get to the next one. For those who feel it is glamorizing upon the victimization of women, I fail to see it. Events happen every day that creates victims, and while this doesn't solve any social issues, it shows a strong woman who refuses to be a victim throughout an interesting and twisting plot.
