I feel basically the same as when I read it in 2016. It's an unsettling book for sure and definitely worth the read.

4 stars. I loved this. Very, very dark and extremely messed up. I’ve always loved the film, it’s one of the few movies that actually scares me. The book is just as good. I like the writing style. It pulled me right from the beginning and I thought the pacing was great. There was never a slow or dull moment.
