Quick read. A person from Kinsey’s past makes an appearance. The last part of the book was more exciting than the book overall.

I don't particularly like Kinsey, she has a lot of that 80s sensibilities (now this isn't the book's fault given that's when it was written but it's a pet peeve nonetheless) that gets on my nerves more often than not, and the ending is weird, but the rest of it - how it got there - was perfectly fine. I think I'll keep with the series, at some point Kinsey will start to sound real to me. ...more

Another book in the Kinsey Milhone series. This was an interesting book with a plot twist that took me completely by surprise. I liked the dynamic between Kinsey and her ex-husband. You get a better view into her personality. I must admit I did miss Henry's presence in this episode. I hope he returns to the series.

I love Kinsey Millhone, I see parts of myself in her so I always enjoy the novels from this series. That being said, this particular mystery did not do too much for me. Maybe because I have been reading too many thrillers lately but it fell a little flat for me. I will definitely be continuing the series because I am invested now.
Side note: these books are just old enough now to show the stark differences in technology from the 80s/90s to today. For some reason I really loved that!
