This is a quick read and that’s about it. The plot is basically Groundhog’s Day where MC Sam relives the same day over and over trying to figure out what she has to do to get things right to end this loop. None of the characters, basically Sam and her friends, are likable except Kent. He is a guy who was friends with Sam when they were little and still likes her even know she treats him like a jerk. Sam does do some soul searching, but the entire plot was very predictable. Don’t waste money buyi

Cupid Day. Definitely has the potential to be hell on Earth if you were to die on this day if you ask me.
So, I picked up this book because the movie is coming out soon and I read "Thirteen Reasons Why" recently and really enjoyed that and the Netflix series was a big hit so I figured I'd give this one a shot. Uh, not so glad I did. "Before I Fall" is more teenage girl blubber and drama. Yes, there is a little bit of the pondering of suicide, family values, time and love lost, etc. but overall w ...more

This book has been on my radar for years, along with other books from this author. When I saw the film adaptation on Netflix, I figured it was an opportune time to finally get to it!
The prologue is told from Samantha Kingston's perspective, and it is clear right away that she has died. She talks about what she remembers just before she died and being in a car accident with her friends. The prologue ends with Sam saying that this is how her last day went. The events of Sam's last day unfold until ...more

I LOVED this book! I have historically liked Lauren Oliver's writing, but I have been used to her dystopian reads. I will admit that I was very much impressed by this one. I enjoyed the dynamic characters and I actually was quite entertained by the fact that I actually didn't like the title character for the majority of the book. I was pretty impressed with how much I was engrossed in the story line given how often I rolled my eyes and shook my head at her. This is a fantastic YA read along the

I didn't like the book but didn't dislike the book. By the end of chapter 4, I just wanted it to be done. It reminded me a lot of the movie Groundhog Day and I didn't really like it. This was just not my thing.
