What Members Thought

Definitely a book written for teens, but adults will find it fascinating as well! The characters are very real young people, and you will see behavior from them that you don't admire... but then you will also see the value of having friends that you love and who you know will be there for you. The plot progression is quite unique, and essential to the story - with Samantha, we experience the same day, February 12th, relived multiple times - but, some things can change each time. Each chapter is

I felt hot and cold about this book.
It was a terrific portrayal of a group of popular teenage girls, self-centered, vain, and simply cruel to those who weren't part of their clique. But Samantha ("Sam"), the first person protagonist, was one of them, and I had a hard time empathizing with her, even in the tragic situation she found herself in. In many ways, she continued to the end to be rather shallow, and she never appeared to realize that some of the things that seemed so important to her and ...more

I have looked forward to reading this story since it was released in 2010. The cover always intrigued me and I know you should not judge a book by its cover or decide to read a book due to its cover. But that is exactly what I did in this situation.
Having no idea what the novel was about I was a bit surprised when I came to chapter two and discovered that I was reading a teenaged girls version of Groundhog Day (the amazing Bill Murray movie for those who have not seen it). Thankfully by the thi ...more

I'm not sure how much I like this book. I mean, it was an interesting concept...having 7 days to relive the day you died and try to make everything right. But the sexual aspects of the book kinda...killed it. However, seeing the world from a girl who's part of the popular people in school was fascinating for me. I'm not really sure why I only gave it 3 stars, but the book just didn't appeal very much to me.

I loved this book, so why the four stars instead of five? The ending! As many books as i have read I still like a happy ending. If there couldnt be a happy ending for Sam then at least let me know how her sacrafice bettered the lives of those around her afterwards. Let me know something about afterwatds, unless there will be another book, but I dont think that is the case here.

This book was pretty good. It wasn't mind blowing, but it was well worth the read. Some parts are a bit predictable, but in some ways, that's sort of the point of the story.

I don't know what to say. I enjoyed this book very much. But I am a happy ending kind of reader and I was unhappy with the way this one ended.
