Explosive Eighteen by Janet Evanovich is the 18th book in the Stephanie Plum series. Bounty hunter Stephanie Plum cuts short her Hawaiian vacation after an altercation between Ranger and Morelli only to become targetted by an assortment of agencies who believe she has a photograph from her plane seatmate who was killed shortly after leaving the flight. OK, I admit it, I am a sucker for Stephanie Plum! Has her character developed? No! Is there a formula in the writing style? Of course! Are you still torn between Morelli and Ranger? Either one would be nice. This is not high literature - it is "sit back and chuckle" writing. I like Stephanie Plum books the same way I like candy corn pumpkins - in small bits: two or three pumpkins one time a day. More than that - sugar overload!!!

If you have read any of the books in this series, you know what you are getting in the others*: a light read, some good laughs, and a bit of amusement along the way.

*Accounting, of course, for the ebb and flow that seems a part of a series of this type.
