What Members Thought

The beginning of this book was troubling but mainly because the author used too much Dublin slang and I hadn't a clue what she was talking about. After awhile, it settles into a nice depressing story that was like a train wreck you just can't look away from. If you like a story to have a feel good ending, you need to pass this series up as you will definitely not find what you are looking for here.

Started over today as it had been awhile since I started it. I'm too easily distracted. :-)

2.5 stars. Got 100 pages into story and though it was interesting, it was not compelling and I'm having a tough time getting through it so I switched to audiobook. It eventually got better, but it actually got worse before it got better. I started out liking Rob, especially his partnership with Cassie, but despised him by the end of the book. Surprised that I didn't like this best-selling mystery novel, but I rarely like books with main characters that I dislike.

I really want to give the book 2 1/2 stars. It was just very slow to me. The tiny print did not help. And I did not appreciate the ending. I definitely feel like others in that I was cheated!
If anyone has read the second book, let me know if it is worthwhile to read. I really just want to know if the ending I wanted in the first book is at all in the 2nd or even the third, if anyone has read that one.
