I enjoyed the inquisitive, diligent, and mild-mannered nature of Detective Hercule Poirot as he interviews passengers to solve the murder mystery on the train. Although the story is written to focus on the Detective's interviews, I thought it was a little dry and would have ideally liked some level of secondary activity, more setting description, and more character detail for a more complete picture and more interest. ...more

Incredible work. I'm normally not into mystery or suspense novels, but this was so well done. No wonder Agatha Christie's name is the best known connected with thrillers. The characters were interesteting and very well described, the murder though gruesome, - still tasteful (nothing too gory), the suspense of the case kept turning page after page and I couldn't have imagined the outcome until very late in the story. I'll say it again - wonderful, wonderful work!

I really liked it but not as much as And Then They Were None. There were so many characters that I was a little bit confuse and it was hard to distinguish one from another. I liked how the events were told, it wasn't like anything I read before. It reminded me of the movie Clue.
