Nora Seed is depressed and decides she has nothing left to live for. After swallowing a bunch of pills she end up in the Midnight Library where she can choose a different version of her life to live. She pops into the life in the present day with no memories of her past in that life which is weird. Unless she decides she is completely happy in the new life she'll return to the library. Way better than Jane, Unlimited, not as good as Every Day, or Replay, or Life After Life. Of course in those other books, the protagonist didn't really have a say in which life they end up in. In this story, Nora Sneed begins by deciding to die. Everything in her life has gone from bad to worse. But while suspended between life and death, she finds herself in the "Midnight Library" where she can revisit past life choices and see whether the road not taken would have led to a better life.
