The Bone Collector by Jeffery Deaver is the book that introduces us to quadriplegic forensic expert Lincoln Rhyme and his associate Amelia Sachs.I have enjoyed his other books and have seen the movie but for some reason had not got around to reading this first book before. It was fabulous and I loved every page. I now feel I will need to reread all the other books in order as you otherwise miss the character progression.

I read this for the first time soon after the movie came out. Really enjoyed the extra depth in the parts that had to be dropped out of the movie.
I remember really enjoying it as a thriller back then and wondered if I would again because if so... a whole series to read!
Answer: Yes I do and I'm already halfway through Coffin Dancer as I write this.
Admittedly I keep picturing Denzel & Angelina as Rhyme & Sachs and wish there'd been more movies made but the writing is 5 stars for me for this kind ...more
