Wow, I do not know where to begin with this novel. I absolutely fell head over heels in LOVE with this book. Once I got started it was so hard to put down. Ben was such a fantastic character. In this story we have Ben who tired to come out to their parents, but it backed fired and kicked them out. Then they started living with their sister and husband and they take them in. This book is important, this book is needed.
For those still figuring themselves out, for those trying to come out.
For everyone to learn, to accept that not everything is one thing or the other.
We live in a scary world and for those who don't identify as what the world thinks they should identify as, it must be even scarier.

This book was so good. I found myself crying alongside Ben, rooting for them to find a safe place to land and good people to support them as they figured out how to handle being kicked out by their parents following their coming out. I found myself cheering as they grew more comfortable at their sister's house and at school, making friends and losing themselves in their artwork.
