I like the narrative. Story telling by the way of exchanged letters. The romance is quite convincing and times, cute.
The only thing I was uncomfortable about how easily I was skimming through the extra bit and running straight for the letters. The rest of the story, build around the romance to give us the gist of the actual war was to be honest, a tad bit boring.
But the inherent message is abundantly clear. The soldiers on the opposite side of the war are much alike.

Powerfully written, but a little too "out there" for my taste. When we read about a world so foreign to ours, I'd like a bit more context, not just words that sound fancy, but hold no meaning for me.
