I did really enjoy this book, which was a blend of magical-realism, allegory and literature. From the first moment when we meet Ava, born with a pair of wings, we believe in her. At no point did I feel my credulity was stretched. Easily my favorite book of the year! Such a wonderful and quirky story that crosses generations and time with fluidity and ease. Amazing imagery, memorable characters, and an engaging and poetic story. Loved every word!
