4 stars. I thought this book started off really well. Very intense opening chapter that really pulled me in. The middle was a bit of a bore and had way too many plot lines happening but the ending wrapped everything up really well for the most part. So there were definitely a lot of highs and lows but it was as a whole a very enjoyable read.

I really liked Margaret. I thought she was a great characte "You get one life, and it only goes forward. And there really are all kinds of happy endings."

I really liked Margaret. I thought she was a great character and she felt so real. It was easy to empathize with her and everything that she’s been through. I loved seeing her repair her relationship with her older sister, Kit (who was great btw. I really liked her character a lot) and how Kit really made an effort to be there for her. It was probably my favorite aspect of the book. I love a good sibling relationship. Margaret’s father was a sweetheart, but her mother was annoying as hell but I think Center did a good job in developing her character and giving her some depth by the end.

Ian was a whole different story. I hated him in the beginning. I’ve been through PT a lot in my life, I’ve even done PT that was particularly for professional athletes (that shit was intense) and I’ve never had to work with one so as unpleasant as Ian was. I would’ve immediately requested someone else but because he was Irish and hot, Margaret stuck it out. Couldn’t have been me because he was an ass. However, again, Center did a fantastic job with his character and it was a slow and gradual change in him but I did really end up not only liking him but also his and Margaret’s relationship.

This was well written, entertaining and has a great and interesting cast of characters. I look forward to reading more by this author and I would recommend this.

This is my third book from Katherine Center and this is my favorite so far! When I was younger I used to be crazy for Lurlene McDaniel books (IYKYK) and this is one of the closest adult books I have found to that....and more.

Margaret has everything going for--fresh out of business school, she has a job offer lined up and best of all, her boyfriend is getting his piloting license and wants to take her up in the air in his small plane! This could be it...the time that he finally proposes, and he ...more

Katherine Center is rapidly becoming one of my favorite authors. While the events of the story are heart-wrenching at times, I loved the characters. I appreciated the personality that Center created for Margaret and the strength that Margaret showed through all of her developments and setbacks. The relationship between the two sisters had me hysterical; one should be so lucky as to have a sister like Kat to pull you out of the depths of despair and point you toward progress. Great read!
