I'm between 3.5 and 4 on this one. I enjoyed it and thought it was very clever storytelling. I wasn't as enamored as other reviewers have been, although I can see why they are. My appreciation did grow more towards the end as I understood the bigger picture of Evelyn's life and choices.

Wow! This was much better than I expected. It has been given such great reviews that I was leery of the hype, particularly about a Hollywood expose type story. A Hollywood legend tricks a little-known writer into agreeing to do an in-depth interview only to offer a full authorized biography instead. Monique, the writer, is sure there is a catch. I really enjoyed this. I wasn’t sure that this was going to be the book for me. I’m not one to care much for celebrities IRL, so hesitated on picking up this book. It was the overwhelming number of 5 star reviews here on Goodreads that convinced me to give it a go. I admired the character development. How could you not fall in love with Evelyn and Harry? This wasn't at all what I expected and I found myself quite gripped in the second half of the book. I don't want to say much more than that as I think this is the sort of book to go into without too much knowledge and watch things unfold.
