One of the best books I’ve read this year. Top notch characters. I had to wait a few months to finish it because of the waiting list at the library.

From a favorite author a different kind of book than she normally writes. I wanted to love it, but no.............it just never clicked with me, however near the end I teared up a few times. 3 1/2 stars.

A fabulous story that has stuck with me weeks after I finished it. This is going to make an amazing movie if done right. The 79-year old movie star Evelyn Hugo finally wants to tell her story. And she picks an almost unknown magazine writer to do it. Monique Grant writes mostly fluff pieces for a magazine. Hollywood star Evelyn Hugo has decided she wants a biography written covering her life and for unknown reasons chooses Monique to write it. I found Evelyn's story very interesting, though she wasn't always likeable, and as in the other book I've read by this author I could believe Evelyn was a real actress.
