After reading Stillhouse Lake (the 1st installment of this trilogy), I was invested and wanted to know how Gwen's story progressed. While I really liked the first book....to say that I "enjoyed" it seems perverted somehow, due to the nature of the story!....and I was looking forward to reading the second, I didn't expect this book to hold my attention even more than the first!

There was a time when all of these characters were very unlikable. The book did get better towards the end, I had the bad guy pegged as another character but it still seems very unbelievable. My final rating would be 2.5 stars, but since that was not an option and the Goodreads rating seems so inflated I went with the 2 star rating. I do think I will be reading the others in the series though, so it has some bite, just there are some mistakes and I am not sure if I like the characters.

Not as good as the first one but still a very good book. I'm intrigued to see where this is going.
