A good finale for the Stillhouse Lake series. Another smooth, slow burn. Maybe a little more jerky than the original, but a satisfying end to the series.

This isn't as intense or scary as the first book, but it's tough to beat that excellent start of this series. At times, this book drove me crazy, but it all came together and I can't wait to read the next book.

Though I found the first third to a half was a bit slow in the trying to hunt down her serial killer ex-husband (phew!), it was all setting up the pieces for the second section, where the author breaks down everything that was built for an explosive finale to the book. I felt it had a slightly different vibe than the first book which I loved (this was a bit more thriller over Stillhouse Lake's suspense), but it gets the job done. I'd recommend it - but read Stillhouse Lake first!

A very suspenseful second book! I’m telly enjoying the characters and how the story makes me question everything I think I know as I read.
