[close] Intimate look into Michelle’s entire life. Highly recommend Audible version as a companion b/c Michelle narrates her own story, and that made me feel even “closer” to her and her family. Not overly political. Just about her life & learning how to live w/a politician/President & how it affected all of their lives both good and bad.

No matter if you are a Republican or Democrat the warm heartfelt story Michelle Obama tells in Becoming will make you cry, laugh and keep you turning pages till the end. Her honest approach of the good and bad of herself, her family, her life will make you keep reading till the end.

I was expecting this one to be a bore as I generally don't like non-fiction much. But this book made me realise I need to give non-fiction the benefit of the doubt. Needless to say, I enjoyed the book more than I thought I would and I was absolutely invested in their story, even if I had some reservations about what we see in the world and what's written in this book. ...more
